From the rugged trails of Roanoke, Virginia, to the bustling kitchens of Richmond, Adam Campbell's culinary journey is as epic as the sandwiches he creates. Raised in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Adam's love for adventure has always been as pronounced as his passion for food.
His culinary path began at the Brambleton Deli and BBQ, where he first discovered his love for crafting incredible sandwiches. Moving to Richmond at 21, Adam honed his skills and became the sous chef at the Berkeley Hotel and Balliceaux.
The pinnacle of his early career came with Rappahannock Oyster Company, where Adam rose from line cook to Executive Chef. For three years, he was renowned in Richmond for bold, innovative dishes that showcased his creativity and culinary expertise.
Chef Adam now returns to his roots – quite literally. Partnering with his hometown friend William Brancati, they've created Dragon Hero DC, a sandwich shop that blends his love of BBQ, epic storytelling, and mythical adventures.
